David Moyes, born April 25, 1963, is a former Scottish footballer who played as a center-back. He spent his entire career in England, playing for clubs such as Celtic, Cambridge United, Bristol City, and Preston North End, where he retired in 1998.

Moyes began his managerial career with Preston North End in 1998, leading them to promotion from the third tier of English football. He subsequently managed Everton, Manchester United, Real Sociedad, Sunderland, and West Ham United, with varying degrees of success.
