David Moyes Left Impressed by Bayer Leverkusen's Attacking Midfielder
West Ham Boss Full of Praise for German Youngster
David Moyes has been left thoroughly impressed by Bayer Leverkusen's attacking midfielder, Florian Wirtz. The 18-year-old has been in sensational form this season, scoring five goals and providing six assists in all competitions.
Moyes watched Wirtz in action against Celtic in the Europa League last week and was full of praise for the youngster's performance.
"He's a very good player," Moyes said. "He's only 18 years old, but he's got a lot of quality. He's a very good passer of the ball, he's got good vision, and he can score goals too.
Moyes added that he would be interested in signing Wirtz if the opportunity arose.
"He's a player that I think would be a good fit for West Ham," Moyes said. "He's a young player with a lot of potential, and I think he could become a very good player for us."
